JEE-MAIN Exam Pattern 2020 - Paper 1 (B.Tech/B.E.)
As per the officially released exam pattern for JEE Main 2020, on September 3, 2019, the changes are done in its structure along with the types of questions and marking schemes. NTA also announced that the exam will be available in 3 mediums i.e. English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Paper 1 will be completely computer-based with total marks of 300 covering MCQs and numerical-value type questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
For January Session, the exam is scheduled from January 6 – 9 2020.
Examination Mode: Online (Computer based test)
Exam Section: Paper 1 of 75 Questions with 3 sections, Physics -25, Chemistry-25, Mathematics-25.
Questions Type: Objective Question (20 MCQ having 4 options each with only 1 correct option) and Numerical questions (5 questions having numerical value as answer)
Exam Duration: 3 hours; For candidates with 40% disability - 4 hours
Exam Medium: The question papers at all exam centers will be in Hindi and English. For exam centers in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, the medium of exam will also be available in Gujarati.
Marking Scheme: For Objective Questions - 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For answer with numeric value - 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
